Packing it all up again!

We have absolutely thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Puerto Vallarta so much that we have plans(our plans are never carved in stone mind you) to return in August or September for a longer period of stay. Yes, we do live kind of a vagabond life and we love it!

I was just considering our chosen lifestyle the other day. Most of you who know me well, realize that our previous cruising life was made for me! I loved it totally. One of the coolest things that I discovered about living aboard a moving vessel was that we could just pick up anchor and our home moved with us to where ever we decided to go. It was a great way to see other countries and explore places without leaving "home"!!! Now that we are "land cruisers" so to speak, the one thing different is that our house changes each time we move. Mind you we just rent furnished apartments or condos where ever we decide to go. And that's fun too, discovering what you adore about each unique habitat.

Anyway, it's that time again when we pack it all up again and move onward to explore new places, meet new friends and old ones. June 20th we leave Puerto Vallarta heading north making stops to visit some previous cruising friends and school friends along the way. Plus we hope to explore the Grand Canyon, Glacier and a few other landmarks. Here's the trip:

Fun in Paradise with Vinnie, our guest, for the week

An afternoon, or was it morning, sampling some shots of Tequila in town with Vinnie. We sipped some unusual flavors of pomegranate, almond, chocolate, coffee, jamaica, and the good stuff - Blanco, Reposado, and Anejo. This is why we have this picture. I had to sit down not being able to keep up with Vinnie. Not a bad picture considering my condition....

Panoramic view of the bay and city of Puerto Vallarta while dinning one evening in Conchas Chinas. Couldn't fix poor Randi's eyes and no other picture to use. Sorry Randi, I'm standing funny too! Oh, well the others look great!
Field trip to the Botanical gardens with Randi, Vinnie, Randall and myself. Austin was busy with school but really he's had his share of Botanical gardens when we were in the Caribbean.

Check out the bee I captured along with the flower...coming right at you!

Isn't this baby cute!

Can you name this tree?

This is an amazing tree!  So vibrant with luscious red flowers, feather like leaves and bountiful with elongated seed pods.   We've seen the treasures made with the pods and seeds throughout the Caribbean, South America and now here in Puerto Vallarta.  I've collected a few seeds along the way myself and have incorporated them into some organic pieces of jewelry.  You may spot some pictures of jewelry using the seeds on my other blog about jewelry.

Family of KNOWmads? Yes, I believe we are!

Isn't life sometimes just about circles?  What comes around goes around or sometimes we are known to repeat history or once an old idea still a good idea...

My friend Maya Frost found this interesting premise posted by John Moravec that once upon a time there were nomads, but now in the 21st century there are KNOWmads.  Wow, could I identify with that one.  Check it out and see if you fit the definition of the 21st century KNOWmad!  Cool concept.  Are you a KNOWmad?
