San Miguel, Mexico

February 26th - San Miguel.

The next morning we woke in awe of the beauty surrounding us everywhere we looked. San Miguel is nestled in the mountains and painted with cobblestone streets that weave in, out, up, and around the town. Well rested and curious to see more, we walked the streets of this quaint little town. What a view we woke up to....

From the court yard behind our room....

The court yard....

The children did school and later in the day we took them out for lunch and then again dinner. Poor things, had to work in the court yard doing their school work. Wish my class room was so inspiring!

Also, from the court yard, another fabulous view of colonial style architecture....

Stupendous door...
Discovered some busy termites as we meandered through town checking out funky boutiques and Mexican art and crafts along with some sharp looking silver jewelry.
Before dinner, we admired the sunset at our posada.
Star and planet gazing is one of our favorite pass times...
Tomorrow is another day. We'll rise and hit the road again heading for Lake Chapala.
